Curriculum Implementation Support Programme – II Conducted by MEU SLIMS Dec 28th -29th 2020
The purpose of the CISP is to prepare and support faculty in Medical Colleges in planning, implementing and evaluating the new curriculum through a multi tiered approach. CISP II was conducted at SLIMS on Dec 28- 29th 2020 under the observership ( virtual ) of JIPMER, Puducherry. 30 faculties from different disciplines participated and got trained.

Basic Course in Medical Education (BCME) from 29th to 31st July 2025
The Medical Education Unit of Sri Lakshmi Narayana Institute of Medical Sciences successfully conducted the Basic Course in Medical Education (BCME) from 29th to 31st July 2025. The workshop aimed to enhance the teaching competencies of medical faculty and promote outcome-based medical education in alignment with the National Medical Commission (NMC) guidelines.
A total of 30 faculty members from various departments enthusiastically participated in the three-day workshop. The sessions covered key areas including principles of adult learning, competencies, objectives, assessment methods, and newer teaching-learning methodologies. Interactive group activities, hands-on exercises, and reflective discussions enriched the learning experience for all attendees.
The program was conducted under the guidance of the NMC Coordinator, Dr. Medha, from Nodal centre, JIPMER, whose valuable insights and expert facilitation added great value to the sessions.
The workshop concluded with a valedictory session, where participants shared their feedback, emphasizing the relevance and practical utility of the training. The successful completion of the BCME highlights SLIMS’ commitment to fostering excellence in medical education.
